Tribute to our founding Board Member, Linda Haar:
(Board Member Emeritus) We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Linda Haar for her incredible vision and unwavering passion for the Early Childhood Education profession. Her dedication led to the founding of C3 Creating Change for Children, a testament to her commitment to making a difference. Even though she is now retired and has relocated to another state, Linda will always remain an integral part of the C3 family. Her legacy continues to inspire us everyday. |
Yi-Cheng Hu |
Yi-Cheng Hu (she/her) is the director at the Child Development Center and also teaches in the Child Development department at MiraCosta College. With over 25 years in early education, Yi-Cheng has worn many hats, including classroom teacher, mentor, administrator, and college instructor. Born in Taiwan, she moved to Hawaii at 13 and now calls the San Diego area home with her partner, daughter and two dogs.

Claudia Flores |
Claudia Flores (pronouns: she, her, hers/ella) has over 16 years of experience teaching within the Community College system in San Diego County. She currently serves as a full-time faculty member and department chair in Child Development at MiraCosta College. Her interests compliment C3's Mission. She is an advocate for issues related to young children, families, and early care and education programs and the communities they serve and creating inclusive and welcoming classroom environments for all where all identities and cultures are welcomed, nurtured, and validated.

Amanda Manger |
Amanda Manger is the owner and director of Kids By The Sea Preschool, a private preschool in Encinitas, CA. She has owned Kids By The Sea, a Reggio Inspired Preschool, for the past 5 years. Before opening Kids By The Sea, she worked as the Program Specialist at the Lab School at MiraCosta College. She has worked in the field as a teacher, administrator, and instructor since 2000. Amanda has presented and published on topics such as Project Based Learning, Teacher Training, and Curriculum Development. She has also developed a new teacher training program, Training Teachers for Success, that is being used at private preschools in California. Amanda graduated from Dartmouth College with a BS in Psychological and Brain Sciences. She has a Masters In Education from Bank Street College.

Angie Smith |
Angie Smith began her Early Childhood Education (ECE) journey at UCI where she helped to establish high-quality early-education programs in under-served communities. She fell in love with the work and the difference she could make caring for and educating some of the most vulnerable populations. After earning her bachelor's degree, she enrolled at her local community college to continue studying ECE, earning her state permit and eventually going on to get a master's degree in early childhood education. Today she is a lead mentor teacher at the Miramar College Child Development Center Lab School and serves as secretary for the C3 executive board.

Lita Moore |
Lita Moore began her career as an early childhood educator in 1987. She currently is in the role as a program director for a state funded child development program and teaches part-time for Mira Costa College. As an early childhood educator she is passionate about supporting teachers and early education programs in providing quality services for all children. She is honored to serve as a leader in the field and strives to support inclusion for all children and families. She is an advocate of lifelong learning and enjoys mentoring teachers as they begin their journey in becoming early childhood educators and leaders.
